I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer. It’s great to see the beaches full of neighbors playing corn hole, fishing, crabbing, grabbing a snack from the beach shack or just relaxing.
You may have recently be seeing a lot of people with Golden Beach t-shirts or cups. There are several different designs and more to come. Thanks to some generous neighbors, the sales of these shirts has been a profitable fundraiser for BEMACO with 100% of the labor and sales being donated. Stop by the Beach Shack to see the latest selection. We have a couple improvement projects happening that should be finishing up soon and we are excited to start enjoying. First off is the pier at Trent Hall. This project has been in the works for some time but now and will be completed by early August with the dedication and grand opening scheduled for shortly there after. The kayak launch that was donated by our Civic Association will be reinstalled and BEMANCO is installing a picnic table for people to enjoy a day of crabbing and relaxing at our new pier. Thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time to make this happen. The next project is the completion of the fire pit at Long Point. We are very excited about this because it was at very little cost to BEMANCO. We had most of the supplies for this project donated and thanks to some wonderful neighbors and board members who volunteered their labor and gave up their weekends to complete it. We are looking forward to the cooler weather to start enjoying some community bonfires. The parking lot at Benson's Boat ramp has been been enlarged and new millings installed. All the topsoil removed from Benson's has been relocated to Long Point to even out the low lying areas. Thanks to all the volunteers for completing these projects. If you would like to get involved with any improvement in the beach please drop us an email and we will reach out to you as projects pop up. As you know BEMANCOs main concerns are the upkeep of all the beaches and ensuring they are only used by neighbors and their guests. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable rest of their summer.

Due to the impending rain being forecasted all day on Saturday we are rescheduling Saturday's stickers to Tuesday, April 25th from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
We are hearing from our neighbors that they like the after work hours to get stickers and save their weekend time. Don't worry if you do like the weekends, we will be back next Saturday (29th) & Sunday (30th) from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. After the 30th we will post times when stickers will be available at the Beach Shack once open. We are considering making changes to sticker distribution for next year and would love to hear your feedback! Feel free to drop us a note by clicking here or by visiting the contact page from the top menu. As the weather is getting warmer and the days are getting longer we are seeing more of our neighbors out and about. Keep an eye out for all the kiddos on bikes as heading down to our beaches to enjoy some treats from the Beach Shack and all we have to offer in Golden Beach. It’s always fun seeing everyone’s tricked out golf carts as they take their evening cruise through the neighborhood. The opening of the Beach Shack will be Memorial Day weekend, keep your calendar clear that weekend for our 1st Annual Corn Hole Tournament on May 27th. More information will be coming about that. Keep in mind that Treat Hall will be closed while we begin the demolition and reconstruction of the new pier. If you haven’t gotten your sticker yet we are issuing those at Long Point on April 21st & 25th, and April 29th & 30th. Come down, say hi and meet the members of your board, we would love to get to know everyone. If you are looking for a great summer job we are hiring beach attendant to work at the Beach Shack and at Benson’s Pier. You can apply at WWW.BEMANCO.COM. We have a lot of exciting things happening in the beach and we are looking forward to a great summer.

The parking lot & speed bumps are being repaired and paved. We apologize for any inconvenience but are excited to announce another improvement in our neighborhood. Stay safe and enjoy your community amenities! In recent weeks you may have noticed that a shed has been placed at Long Point. This was just the beginning of many improvements occurring in the Beach. The shed was gifted to the Civic Association who then worked hard refurbishing it, leveling an area at Long Point and ultimately having the shed delivered to it's current location as a donation to BEMANCO. When the shed was placed we knew the shingles and some of the roof would need replaced so it could last many years to come in it's new home. The Board of Directors recently voted to approve the funds to purchase the supplies for the roof replacement as we had a member of the Board who volunteered to do the labor. At that time another community member reached out to Jerry Lewis Roofing who agreed to donate all of the materials needed for this project! In a matter of 2 days all of the materials were delivered and a couple volunteers worked to complete the shed roof. This is a great example of what happens when we all work together to make our community the best place in Southern MD!
The BEMANCO Board of Directors ask that you consider Jerry Lewis Roofing (301) 472-4100 for all of your roofing needs! Lets support the local companies who support us! June 18th, 2020
Hello Golden Beach Patuxent Knolls Community, We hope this note finds you doing well. Please be advised that effective Wednesday June 17th, 2020 Victor “Vic” DeMattia has tendered his letter of resignation from the position of President of BEMANCO for personal reasons. Since taking office in January of this year, Vic has worked tirelessly to improve the amenities and overall value of our community and beaches. His efforts to enhance the quality and services provided to the community by BEMANCO have been a benefit to us all. We hope that we can continue to count on Vic as a great resource and valued friend of our community! The office of President has been filled by former Vice President Harry Grant who worked previously as the President of the Golden Beach Patuxent Knolls Civic Association. Board member Dale Antosh has accepted the nomination of Vice President and was voted into office Thursday June 18th, 2020. Dale brings many years of experience and service to BEMANCO and continues to serve as President of the Golden Beach Patuxent Knolls Civic Association.
