Golden Beach / Patuxent Knolls

Golden Beach / Patuxent Knolls is a private waterfront community located in Mechanicsville, MD.  Situated on the Patuxent River in St. Mary's County, our community boasts miles of shoreline and waterfront homes.  Amenities include multiple beaches, piers, and boat ramps for the use of residents only.

Beach Management Corp. (BEMANCO) and the Golden Beach / Patuxent Knolls Civic Association work in conjunction to make our community a great place to live.  Both BEMANCO and the Civic Association consists of volunteers who put on special events for our community.  Please visit the Civic Association's website at:

Long Point Beach & Boat Ramp

Located at the farthest point of the community with beautiful views of the Patuxent.  There is parking, beach, picnic tables, pier, and a boat ramp.  You must have a current sticker to enter and park.

Trent Hall Pier & Boat Ramp

With limited parking, this location has a kayak launch is perfectly situated with easy access to calm waters and the marsh.  You must have a current sticker to enter and park.

Main Beach

Located off of Beach Drive there is parking, beach and a pavilion. You must have a current sticker to enter and park.

Benson's Boat Ramp

Boat ramp and limited parking.  You must have a current sticker to launch your boat and park.  Parking is limited to vehicles with boat or jet-ski trailers

Small Beach

Home to a small playground, basketball court & picnic tables.  There is a nice pier here that is great for fishing and crabbing.  You must have a current sticker to enter and park.
